S3 surfactant /Zonyl FSN 100

FSN-100 is a 100% active non-ionic fluorocarbon surfactant based on the ethoxylated fluorocarbon chain structure with both water solubility and solvent system compatibility. Its unique fluorocarbon chain gives it ultra-low surface tension (as low as <20 mN/m), which remains stable in complex chemical environments (such as acidic, high salt, hard water), and is widely used in coatings, electronic cleaning, pesticide preparation and high-end industrial fields, significantly improving wetting, dispersion and leveling properties.

Action mechanism

Ultra-low surface tension: strong hydrophobicity of the fluorocarbon chain combined with ethoxy hydrophilicity significantly reduces the surface tension of the system (both water and solvent phases are applicable).

Broad spectrum chemical stability: withstand pH 1-14, high salt (such as seawater), hard water and organic solvents, avoid decomposition failure.

Low foamability: Molecular structure inhibits foam generation, suitable for spraying, recycling cleaning and other low-foam scenarios.

High efficiency wetting and dispersion: rapid penetration of the substrate micropores, reducing the droplet contact Angle, and promoting uniform dispersion of particles (such as pigments, nanomaterials).

Leveling performance optimization: Reduce coating/film orange peel, shrinkage hole defects, improve surface smoothness.

Dilution recommendation: Directly use the stock solution (100% active) or dilute as needed (soluble in water or organic solvents such as ethanol, isopropyl alcohol).

Typical addition: 0.05%-1.0% (optimized according to the gradient of system demand, low concentration testing is preferred).
