S7 surfactant/Standapol® ES-1

Braveds
Overview
Sodium polyoxyethyene(1)  lauryl Sulfate

It is a white or light yellow slightly viscous substance, belonging to the anionic surfactant. It is easily soluble in water, and has good compatibility with anionic and non-ionic compounds, and has good emulsification, foaming, solubilization and decontamination properties.

Action mechanism

Strong decontamination and solubilization ability: lyses the cell membrane or dissolves hydrophobic targets (e.g., lipoproteins, membrane binding antigens) to release target analytes.

Emulsion stability: Maintain the dispersion of latex/colloidal gold particles to prevent the uneven signal caused by aggregation (such as latex enhanced immune turbidimetry).

Low foam: Reduce foam interference in reagent operation (such as automatic sampling) to ensure detection accuracy.

Combination compatibility: Used in conjunction with anionic/non-ionic surfactants (e.g. Triton X-100) and sealants (BSA) to optimize system balance.

Mild protein denaturation: Partially denaturated proteins at controlled concentrations, exposing hidden epitopes and improving antibody binding efficiency (such as ELISA sample diluents).

Application scenario

Sample pre-treatment solution: Added to blood/urine lysate to dissolve cells or micellar lipids and reduce matrix interference.

Latex particle stabilizer: pre-mixed in latex microsphere suspension, prevents particle aggregation through electrostatic repulsion, and enhances turbidity signal stability.

Colloidal gold labeled complex solution: combined with bovine serum albumin (BSA)), reduce the non-specific adsorption of gold labeled antibody and reduce the background value.

Cleaning buffer: Used in ELISA/ chemiluminescence lotions to gently remove unbound substances and retain weak binding signals.

Solubilizer: dissolves hydrophobic reagents (such as fat-soluble vitamin detection) to improve reaction uniformity.

General use range: 0.01%-0.5% (gradient test is required to avoid excessive protein denaturation or membrane damage).
