Overview

CRP is an acute phase protein synthesized by hepatocytes when the body is subjected to inflammatory stimulation such as microbial invasion or tissue injury. The concentration of CRP in the serum of healthy people is very low (< 5mg/L), but in bacterial infection or tissue injury, its concentration is significantly increased, so it is considered to be the most valuable.
