Overview
Reference value: serum 11~30mg/L and urine 0~12mg/L are used to detect the content of α 1-microglobulin (α 1-MG) in human serum or urine. α 1-microglobulin is a relatively small molecular weight glycoprotein produced by the liver, which exists in the blood in two forms: free and bound. Free α 1-MG can be filtered by glomeruli and then mostly reabsorbed and degraded by renal tubules. The production of α 1-MG was constant, and the excretion of urine was less affected by extrarenal factors. Clinical detection of α 1-MG is mainly used for the evaluation of renal function and as a non-specific tumor marker.
