General description.
Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a hydrophilic polymer. It can be synthesized by anionic ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide to produce different molecular weights and end groups. When PEG crosses into a reticular construction, it can have high water content and form hydrogel PEG, which is a good biomaterial because it does not cause an immune response.
Application.
Polyethylene glycol (PEG) plates can be used for.
Direct gene transfer of PEG- in protoplast introduction and culture.
Used to measure cellular solute phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) from plant tissues.
As a DNA transformation reagent, it was used to study the transient gene expression of plant protoplasts from rice leaf sheath.
Preparation of isothermal assembly buffer and TSS culture medium for unique nucleotide sequence (UNS)-guided assembly of repetitive DNA parts.
Transformation of DNA into long-term cells of budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
As a DNA conversion reagent
