General description.
Tris (2-carboxyethyl) phosphine hydrochloride (TCEP.HCl) is a non-volatile solid. It is a strong reducing agent. It can be synthesized by acid hydrolysis of tris (2-cyanoethyl) phosphine in refluxed HCl aqueous solution. It has a variety of biological applications, such as reducing disulfide bonds of various peptides and proteins in vivo and in vitro. TCEP is a chelating agent for various heavy metal ions, such as Zn (II), Cd (II), Pb (II) and Ni (II).
Application.
A reagent for selective reduction of disulfides in water.
Water-soluble reagent for selective reduction of disulfides. It is more stable than DTT and can be used in mass spectrometry applications.
Tris (2-carboxyethyl) phosphine hydrochloride (TCEP.HCl) can be used as a catalyst for the reduction of sulfoxides, sulfonyl chlorides, N-oxides and azides. It can be used as a reducing agent for the reduction of various alkyl disulfides such as trans-4p5-dihydroxy-1pyrrol-2-dithiane.
After alkalization, the water-soluble ligand can simply remove the ruthenium complex decomposition catalyst through the crude product of water-based washing reaction.
