Application.
There have been studies on the use of sodium cholate hydrate to study the effects of phospholipid formulations and surfactants on dermal delivery of hydrophilic drugs in elastic liposomes. It is also used in a study of elastically deformed vesicles and metastases in transdermal drug delivery.
A non-denaturing detergent used to extract membrane proteins.
