Application.
It can be used to remove endotoxin from protein solution by phase separation technology, to extract and purify DNA; from endotoxin, to extract lipoprotein from bacterial cell wall biphasic, and to act as a Nonionic detergent with low cloud point (23 °C), which can dissolve proteins and carry out phase partition from amphiphilic proteins.
General description.
Triton XMel 114 is a Nonionic detergent. The detergent can dissolve the membrane, has the property of reverse phase separation, and can be used for the separation of intrinsic membrane proteins. Triton XMel 114 solution is homogeneous at 0 ℃, but phase separation occurs above 20 ℃ to form aqueous phase and detergent phase. The phase separation of proteins in Triton XMel 114 solution has been studied. Octylphenol ethoxylates are compatible with anions, cations and other Nonionic surfactants and are chemically stable in most acidic-alkaline solutions.
