General description.
Sodium phosphate is a colorless crystalline sodium salt. It is widely used as a buffer for molecular biology, biochemistry and chromatography. It exists in three forms: unary (NaH2PO4), binary (Na2HPO4) and ternary (Na3PO4). Different proportions of unitary and binary forms are usually used to form neutral sodium phosphate buffer solutions.
