General description.
Magnolia S is a sodium salt of diazo dye. It can be used to prepare dye, can be used for rapid and reversible staining of protein bands on nitrocellulose membrane or PVDF membrane (Western blotting), and can also be used for protein staining on cellulose acetate membrane. The staining process can be reversed by water washing, which is helpful for subsequent immunological detection. Here are two common dyeing formulations: 0.1%Ponceau S (wbrew) dissolved in 5% acetic acid in 30%TCA and 2% rhodamine S in 30% sulfosalicylic acid.
Application.
Magnolia S has been used to dye the membrane (Western blotting).
