Biochemical / physiological behavior.
Effective platinum antineoplastic agents. It forms cytotoxic adducts with DNA dinucleotide d (pGpG) and induces intrastrand crosslinks.
An effective chemical immunotherapy drug; stimulates the immune response by activating macrophages and other cells in the immune system. The macrophages treated with cisplatin showed enhanced antigen presentation function in vitro. Treatment increased the content and translocation of NF- κ B in macrophages. The effect of cisplatin is regulated by kinase, phosphatase and Ca2 + / calmodulin. It forms cytotoxic adducts with DNA dinucleotide d (pGpG) and induces internal chain cross-linking.
