General description.
Sodium pyruvate (SP) is the simplest keto acid. Its crystallization is a very thin plate and belongs to monoclinic system. The application of Knoevenagel condensation in aqueous medium has been studied. The standard molar enthalpy of formation and molar enthalpy of solution of infinitely diluted sodium pyruvate have been obtained. Its efficacy in the treatment of mitochondrial DNA exhaustion syndrome has been studied.
Application.
Sodium pyruvate has been used: > prepare bovine serum albumin-lactate-pyruvate diluent > pyruvate tolerance test > prepare oligodendrocyte medium.
