General description.
Magnesium sulfate is a magnesium salt with the ability to inhibit uterine contraction. Its analgesic effect during and after operation has been studied. It is reported to prevent eclampsia. Its ability to remove water from water-soluble solvents by salting-out phase separation has been studied.
