Biochemical / physiological behavior.
Hemolytic lecithin is the main component of oxidized low density lipoprotein and involves a variety of inflammatory responses, including atherosclerosis. It is used to demyelinate spinal cord neurons and study the process of myelin regeneration. It can activate protein kinase C MAP p38 MAP kinase, P42 MAP kinase and jun kinase (JNK) pathway, and activate c-jun transcription. Lysophosphatidylcholine accumulates during myocardial ischemia and may induce arrhythmia by uncoupling gap junctional communication and increase ischemic injury by increasing the Na+ load of cardiomyocytes. It also activates TREK1, TREK2, and TRAAK K+ channels.
Points for attention in preparation.
It was prepared by the hydrolysis of egg yolk L-α-phosphatidylcholine by phospholipase A.
