Overview
Impurity :≤ 0.1% Dioxane.
Application.
IPTG is often used in cloning experiments where β-galactosidase activity needs to be induced. It is often used in combination with X-Gal or Bluo-Gal for blue-and-white screening of recombinant bacterial colonies, which can induce the expression of lac operons in E. coli. IPTG binds to lacI repressor and changes its conformation to prevent the inhibition of lacZ, a gene encoded by β-galactosidase.
Other considerations.
Non-metabolic galactose analogues.
reconstruction.
IPTG was dissolved in water, then was aseptically filtered, and the storage solution (0.1m) was prepared. The final concentration of IPTG in the indicator board should be 0.2mM.
