Application.
HEPES has been used to supplement Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium to culture and maintain cell lines as components of platelet suspension buffers and alkaline salt solutions used to wash pancreatic tissue Hank as components of washing buffers and sealing buffers. Purification and quantification of proteins by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to regulate and maintain the pH value of biological solution as part of Hank's equilibrium salt solution (HBSS) and dissociation medium, to study tissue homogenization in neuron development and to prepare cytoplasmic and nuclear extracts from cells as components of keratinocytes and fibroblasts culture medium.
General description.
HEPES buffer has no cytotoxic effect on cells, so it can be used in animal cell culture.
HEPES is regarded as one of the best general buffers that can be used in biological research. Under biological pH, the molecule is zwitterionic and is effective as a buffer at pH 6.88.2. HEPES has been widely used in a variety of applications, including tissue culture. It is usually used to buffer the cell medium in the air. HEPES has been applied in Mg in vitro.
