Application.
Strong liquid separation agent, which can be used for protein denaturation and subsequent renaturation. This strong denaturant can dissolve insoluble or denatured proteins, such as inclusion bodies. This can be used as the first step in refolding a protein or enzyme into its active form. Urea and dithiothreitol (DTT) may also be necessary.
