Application.
Fluoxetine hydrochloride can be used to study the effect of fluoxetine hydrochloride on the binding of 123I-labeled 2-((2-(dimethylamino) methyl) phenyl) thio)-5-iodophenyl amine ([123i] ADAM) to SERT (serotonin carrier) in mice. It can also be used for long-term treatment of animals with insufficient light.
General description.
Fluoxetine hydrochloride is a psychotropic drug, one of the earliest antidepressants and a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It is one of the effective ingredients of Prozac.
