Overview
Application.
EDTA is an inhibitor of metalloproteinases with an effective concentration of 1-10 mM. EDTA can be used as a chelating agent for zinc ions in the active center of metalloproteinases and can also inhibit other metal ion-dependent proteases, such as calcium-dependent cysteine proteases. Disodium or trisodium salt of EDTA is usually used as an anticoagulant. The best concentration is 1.5mg per mL blood.
Points for attention in preparation.
The maximum concentration of water soluble at room temperature is 1.45m. The pH value of the solution is about 10 to 11, and the viscosity is high.
