Application.
3Benzidine was used as chromogen for immunohistochemical visualization of chondrosarcoma sections, breast cancer sections and brain tissue sections.

Peroxidase substrate; reagent for spectrophotometric determination of selenium.

Many applications use DAB (3-methylene-diaminobenzidine) to detect peroxidase activity. In the peroxidase reaction, DAB is used as a hydrogen donor in the presence of peroxide. Oxidized DAB forms an insoluble brown end product, which is used for immune tissue and Western blotting analysis.
