Application.
Doxycycline hydrochloride has been used to induce glioma cells and human embryonic kidney 293T cells (HEK293T).
Doxycycline hydrochloride is a synthetic oxytetracycline derivative. It has been used to eliminate Borrelia burgdorferi and phagocytic anaplasms in rodent hosts and to eliminate hard ticks in the shoulder process. It is a broad-spectrum inhibitor used to inhibit matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), such as type 1 collagenase, in wound healing and tissue remodeling.
Biochemical / physiological behavior.
Doxycycline hydrochloride inhibits inflammation induced by Borrelia burgdorferi in Lyme disease. It is a wide range of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors in vivo.
