Bestatin hydrochloride

Biochemical / physiological behavior.
An aminopeptidase selective metalloproteinase inhibitor. Benzostatin is a competitive and specific inhibitor of leucine aminopeptidase, aminopeptidase B and triaminopeptidase. Aminopeptidase B (using arginine-β-naphthylamine as substrate) and leucine aminopeptidase were inhibited at 60 nM and 20 nM respectively. It showed no inhibitory effect on aminopeptidase A, trypsin, chymotrypsin, elastase, papain, pepsin or hemolysin. It has the potential to become a new type of painkiller because it protects endogenous opioid peptides from degradation.

Points for attention in preparation.
The solvent is water, and the solubility test is carried out to get the clarified solution. 1 mM reserve liquid can be stored stably for at least one month at-20 °C.
