Application.
2-oxazolidinones can be synthesized efficiently by carbonylation with CO in the presence of Salen-Co catalyst. It is used for gas chromatographic analysis of derivative carboxylic acids to synthesize 2-oxazoline compounds for further conversion to other substances.
