Application.
G418 disulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with a structure similar to gentamicin and can be used to screen and maintain prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells transfected with iNOS promoters and neomycin resistance genes. Different cell lines have different screening and maintenance of the best concentration. Bacteria and algae need up to 5 μ g/mL, while animal cells may need 300-500 μ g/mL.
